Today, Eric Powell wrote(via blogspot) about the constant bombardment of questions regarding the status of the Goon film. Even I am guilty of asking at last year’s Boston Comic Con. As the story goes, David Fincher is looking for funding and the film is still in the development/writing stage. The project hasn’t been scrapped but it will not be finished anytime soon. The teaser trailer that has been in circulation is evidently just that and nothing more.
Powell writes: “Itâs going to take time when youâre dealing with a project like the Goon film. An animated (and not aimed towards toddlers) gangster film with monsters, murder, and tons of dark humor⦠where have you seen that before?”
